Pioneer, graffiti artist, drum ‘n’ bass icon, DJ, actor and producer. Goldie is a total original, a multi-talented complex shape shifter, who’s sold more than 2.5 million records worldwide.
He earned his name as a graffiti artist in the West Midlands in the early eighties before moving to London and becoming heavily involved in the nascent Jungle scene. Musically, Goldie is best known for his outstanding album “Timeless” (1995) which combined glorious orchestral strings with the industrial sounds of the jungle underground. The album remains an all-time classic with a wide range of music lovers, sounding as fresh in 2011 as it ever did.
Aside from music and grafitti, Goldie’s irrepressible charm has propelled him into TV and film roles, most notably in Guy Ritchie’s classic “Snatch” and the James Bond film “The World is Not Enough”.
Yugong Yishan & The Syndicate is proud to be hosting this undisputed legend in Beijing for the fourth time. Previous visits have seen Goldie play an unbelievable 4-hour mix of unreleased tracks that tore Yugong Yishan to pieces. Do. Not. Miss. This.
