New Noise proudly presents two China shows for legendary Scandinavian shoegaze titans: The Radio Dept. The band will perform live in Shanghai / Mao Livehouse on June 1 and Beijing / YugongYishan on June 2. The Radio Dept. have spent their career to date building up a devoted fanbase by filtering traditional indie and dream-pop sounds through an electronic haze winning the Nordic Music Award for best band。They’ve admirably honoured their genre’s history every step of the way, incorporating elements of vintage Slumberland noise-pop, sadder 80s UK indie sounds, and the kind of romantic, low-key dance-pop typically associated with Saint Etienne. All their albums have been praised by the international press as being individual classics. NME had put placed their album “Lesser Matters” as album of the decade.
