Beijing Jungle Big Band (formerly Beijing Jazz Orchestra) is China’s first real big band, which is composed of professional musicians on saxophones, trombones, trumpets, and a full rhythm section complete with piano, guitar, bass and drums. We have more than 5000 tunes in library include swing, big band jazz, funk, Latin, ballad and rock. As a highlighted specialty, we also present our own big band arrangements of Chinese local tunes including folk songs and well-known tunes.
In 2008, The BJBB had won the Prize of Best Group. The BJBB has been chosen to play the opening show of Beijing Nine-Gates International Jazz Festival in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
