DH and the Chinese Hellcats was founded in the summer of 2008. The Hellcats come from established rock bands like Brain Failure as well as jazz bands and orchestras.
The Hellcats are a tribute band, covering or adapting classics from Swing songs of the 1920s to rockabilly of the 1950s. Elvis Presley, Wanda Jackson, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and Buddy Holly are some of the band’s favorites. Of course, many rock elements are integrated into the adaptation of these retro songs and the Hellcats like to mix jazz, rock and classical music, calling their sound “Swing Rock”.
But mostly the Hellcats are all about HAPPINESS. It’s hard to find Hellcats fans who aren’t smiling!
