Danish rock band Nephew, creators of the World Cup 2010 hit single “The Danish Way to Rock”, plays melodic rock, with lyrics that are a mix of Danish and English. That hit went straight to no. 1 on the Danish singles chart, and featured the members of the Danish World Cup 2010 winning team, bringing the band to the attention of international fans of both the musical and football variety.Nephew is Simon Kvamm – vocals & keyboards, Kristian Riis – guitar & vocals, Kasper Toustrup – bass, René Thalund – keyboards, and Søren Arnholt – drums & vocals and has four albums under its belt, Swimming Time (April 2000), USADSB (June 2004) and Interkom, Kom Ind (October 2006) and the widely acclaimed and commercially successful DanmarkDenmark (June 2009). Nephew’s music has been released not only in Denmark but in Japan, Germany and Norway as well and the band have played massive gigs like the Hultsfred Festival in Sweden, the Danish Roskilde Festival, the Skanderborg Festival and Zulu Rocks at the Danish National Stadium.
