Dirty Vegas have dance music in their blood. With their Grammy award-winning release Days Go By, they managed to change the face of dance music in the new millennium. Now Om Records is proud to announce that they are back with their first new album in over 5 years and the guys are wasting no time reclaiming their rightful place at the forefront of dance music.
Electric Love, the bands third album, which was recorded in London over the course of the past year, shines new light on the band. Known once for their slick electronic sounds, Dirty Vegas returns with a dirtier rock edge. Epic guitars and pounding synths spread throughout the album makes this release at home anywhere from the biggest sound-systems in Ibiza to a rocking house party in any rural suburb. The first single, also titled Electric Love, conjures up sounds of an indie rock dance party in your best friends basement. With guitars reminiscent of early Talking Heads tracks and a tempo that is certain to keep your legs moving, this track is certain to please loyal fans while garnering a whole legion of new fans on the way. Remixers already confirmed include Eli Escobar, Runaway (DFA Records), Paul Harrris, Alex Tepper, DJ Fame, and Cassette Club. In the past year, the band have played memorable shows at Glastonbury and Creamfields and DJ-ed across the globe from Malaysia and Dubai to Ibiza and New York. While out on the road, the guys have been collecting inspiration to bring you the most exciting shows that only Dirty Vegas can bring.
